Vice Minister Liao Xiaoqi's comment on intensifying CEPA and promoting trade and economic exchange and cooperation between China and HK

In the afternoon on Jun 21, 2007, Vice Minister Liao Xiaoqi accepted special interview of online interview column of Chinese government network. He exchanged views online with broad net citizens on the topic of intensifying CEPA and promoting trade and economic exchange and cooperation between China and HK.
  
Liao made a specific briefing on CEPA’s main content, cooperative mechanism, necessity and significance, furthermore on the significant role of CEPA played in stabilizing development, trade and cooperation between China and Hong Kong. He developed deep and broad exchange with the net citizens on such public concerned issues as tariff reduction and exemption, individual tour, development of trade in good and service and economic developing prospect between mainland and HK. A week before the interview, network of MOFCOM and Chinese government broadly collected public questions and suggestions. During the interview, the public responded vigorously that raised over 400 questions so that a favorable interactive effects gained by this interview.
